Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, Fleet and Special Mission Aircraft, this position provides sales and business support for Fleet and Special Mission (FSM) markets through prospecting, event coordination, demonstration flights, new market development and general sales support. Applicants should have a successful background in Sales and possess a Commercial Pilot license with Instrument Rating and Class II Medical. Applicants should have a professional demeanor, strong business acumen and the desire to develop their business and sales skills. Candidates should be able to function independently with minimal management oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Assists the Fleet and Special Mission sales team in maximizing institutional sales and promoting Cirrus in the marketplace. Prospecting in Flight Training and Special Mission Markets Finds and qualifies fleet and special mission prospects through background research, customer visits and personal interaction with principals. Prepares and effectively present general and special purpose sales presentation on Cirrus products. Develops and coordinates direct marketing campaigns. Supports FSM sales team with the preparation of proposals and presentations. Represents Cirrus and the FSM team at industry trade shows and conferences. Event set up and management including pre-event planning, and exhibit staffing. Marketing Coordination Is the primary Fleet Sales interface with the Cirrus Marketing organization for planning events, advertising and marketing campaigns. Flight Demonstrations and Operations Plans, executes and provides demonstration flights for potential fleet customers, to promote the sales of Cirrus aircraft to airlines, colleges, universities, professional pilot academies, charter operators, law enforcement agencies and other special mission operators. Provides subject-matter expertise on Cirrus airplanes and operations. Supports sales team with aircraft movements and logistics. Sales Administration Prepares and submits appropriate sales reports and CRM (Salesforce) entries in a timely fashion. Market/Competitive Awareness Develops and maintains an awareness of the aviation, the FSM market, and general business trends in the assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Aviation preferred. Private Pilot’s License required; Commercial Pilot/Instrument Rating and a career interest in marketing/sales preferred. 1st or 2nd class Medical certificate required CFI and Cirrus pilot experience preferred 3-5 years previous business/sales/marketing experience preferred Advanced MS office knowledge; computer software and Internet proficiency Excellent verbal/written communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Professional demeanor Willingness to travel and accept some weekend and overtime assignments
