Destination / RoadMap

In the Engineering department, the primary role of the Fleet Engineer is to support operational service and monitor LRV performance at an LRV and sub system level. You will report to the Fleet Engineer Manager. Working hours are : daytime work from Monday to Friday (39h/week contract). From time-to-time, work at night and/or during weekend may be requested in accordance with labour law.

Work location: the job will be located in one of the 3 depots. Travels on the 2 others, from time to time, are to be expected.

Responsibilities

 The Fleet Engineer’s accountabilities are the following:

Undertaking LRV failure trend analysis and failure root cause analysis.Raising and resolving allocated FRACAS items that are raised in relation to corrective maintenance.Integrating, leading and directing reliability engineering initiatives to improve parts availability, manage the obsolescence plan, reduce equipment downtime and reduce cost.Assisting with troubleshooting problems, discrepancies and investigations of failure modes and/or non-conformances.Liaising with Transdev Group projects in France to share knowledge and best practices.Managing trials and testing of new systems and productsDeveloping standard procedures for rectification of common defects.Reviewing repeat defects and provide technical support for rectification.Developing return to service plans for long-term stopped trams.
Supporting training and development of technical staff.
Delivering driver information sessions to provide feedback on recent failures.
