Fleet Maintenance Manager \n
As a Fleet Service Manager, you'll prioritize and execute managing all fleet maintenance activities for the US and Canada market.\n
You'll overseeing budgets, vendors, suppliers, contractors in a maintenance setting. Your knowledge of heavy-duty trucks will allow you to understand service-related issues, maintain high standards in maintenance settings and ensure all safety standards are being upheld.\n
Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment and continually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all maintenance activities, including cost control, management development, and high training and safety standards.\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities\n
Technical Maintenance\n\nResponsible for the management and implementation of fleet maintenance in accordance with the business plan and budget.\nImplement and drive company-wide usage of fleet computerized maintenance management systems. \nDevelop and refine Preventative and Predictive Maintenance with Bulk Systems engineering.\nEnsure Critical Pump Management System Inspections are carried out in accordance with corporate standards.\nManages field maintenance operations, ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of equipment at all maintenance sites. \nRemains current and ensures adherence to all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting area of responsibility. (DOT, OSHA, MSHA, etc.)\n\n
Strategic Planning\n\nEvaluates vehicles and equipment to assess replacement due to age, history of repair and overall maintenance costs.\nAudits the cleanliness and maintenance of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs.\nEnsures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.\nPerforms data analysis, prepares reports and makes recommendations for field maintenance facility operations improvements. \nInitiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and\/or reduce operating costs.\n\n
Managing Maintenance teams\n\nCommunicate regularly with all maintenance supervisors, operations managers and engineering to ensure good two-way communication.\nEnsures that all personnel are adequately trained and equipped to accomplished set goals in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.\nContinually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet and maintenance activities, including cost control, employee development, and high training and safety standards.\nWorks with LLCs and locations to ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed, and mechanics are properly trained.\nConducts and \/ or attends and contributes to periodic driver \/ safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.\n\n
Education and Experience \n\nCollege Degree or High School and specialized training \n5 to 7 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree\nDriver's License Required\n\n
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities\n\nPrior knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and processes.\nFleet maintenance experience with a decentralized customer base.\nUnderstanding of metrics that drive fleet maintenance performance.\nAbility to create actionable items out of data and information.\nStrategic planning, coupled with tactical execution.\nAble to apply standards and processes that maintain regulatory compliance.\nStrong leadership and personnel development skills.\nAbility to work across business lines.\nAbility to use computer and applicable company software.\nProficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams.\nAbility to facilitate\/train others, and ability to navigate and handle difficult conversations.\nFinancial understanding, with the ability to set strategy against financial goals.\n\n
Work Environment \n\nAbility for nationwide travel 30% to 50%. Ability to travel at times on short notice including to sites on short notice.\n\n
