Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment within our fleet. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work with hand tools and diagnostic equipment. The Fleet Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet operations. Duties + Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. + Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. + Conduct electrical repairs, including soldering and wiring tasks. + Align vehicle components to ensure proper function and safety. + Operate cranes for lifting heavy parts or equipment during repairs. + Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed. + Utilize hand tools effectively to complete various tasks related to vehicle upkeep. + Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. + Follow safety protocols while working in the shop or on-site to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications + Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within fleet maintenance. + Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures. + Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks when necessary. + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively. + Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred. + High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
