Fleet Manager

Position Summary
AutoZone is looking for a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet of 22,000 vehicles. This role is essential for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the fleet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing the fleet budget, and optimizing fleet performance. Additionally, the role involves vendor management, accurate reporting, and leading a team of fleet coordinators and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
· Cultivate and enrich relationships with Vehicle Manufacturers, Fleet Management Providers, and Fuel Vendors.
· Create an Annual Plan for Fleet Expenses for the next fiscal year.
· Maintain a safe and reliable fleet for Commercial delivery vehicles, Field Management vehicles, and Hub delivery vehicles.
· Review and update the Fleet Policy, distributing updates at least every two years.
· Partner with Loss Prevention and Risk Management to develop and update Fleet Safety Programs and participate in weekly reviews of recent collisions to identify and implement improvements.
· Ensure every vehicle is equipped with a properly communicating Telematics device.
· Develop and lead the Fleet Team.
· Build and maintain relationships to stay informed about emerging trends within the Fleet industry.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position includes direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
· Three to five years of relevant experience.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
