Fleet Mechanic Job#:382626 Location:JEFFERSONVILLE, OH - Distr/Manufacturing/Fleet Department:Maintenance Category:Fleet Salary:Hourly Apply To This Job Return To List Job Description Pay: $23.05-$29.80 per hour with verifiable experience Pay: $31.05-$34.80 per hour with qualifying degree PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES: + Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair + Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and parts + Perform maintenance work to DOT standards for over the road equipment + Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment + General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units + Perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment + Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed Skills/Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: + Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills + Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems + Knowledge of standard practices, equipment, and tools of the fleet equipment trade + Knowledge of forklift and automobile mechanical electrical systems + Ability to lift 75+lbs + Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions + Basic welding and maintenance experience + Ability to maintain full-time work schedule Apply To This Job
