**St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is looking for a Fleet Mechanic to join our team!**
The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our fleet of emergency vehicles. This role requires expertise in automotive mechanics, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring our vehicles are in optimal condition for emergency response.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform routine maintenance and inspections on emergency medical vehicles, including ambulances and support vehicles.
+ Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
+ Coordinate with vendors to complete complex repairs and body work that cannot be complete onsite.
+ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on fleet vehicles.
+ Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to vehicle operations and maintenance.
+ Collaborate with the operations team to schedule repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
+ Conduct pre-trip inspections and assist with emergency repairs as needed.
+ Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
+ Provide training and guidance to other staff on basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; along with additional technical training or certifications in automotive repair.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a certified mechanic, with a focus on emergency vehicles preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
+ Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
+ Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
