Fleet Operations Support Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, highly motivated, and detail-oriented full time Fleet Operations Support Specialist to join the Fleet Operations team at International! In this role, you will work within the Research and Development group at the International Proving Grounds in New Carlisle, Indiana and will provide direct interaction and support to meet the needs of new program vehicle testing and site support units. You will be working primarily on the computer each day, but also moving about the site to network with peers and to perform visual inspections of vehicles and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive parts, a solid foundation of Finance and Accounting, and excellent computer and customer service skills. This position entails moderate lifting, bending, walking, keyboarding, and a valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required. Responsibilities Analyze data, perform computerized research, prepare, and present reports for the Fleet Manager Process quarterly and annual tax obligations Coordinate Fleet vendor bid solicitation, evaluation, and selection process Maintain the Fleet approved vehicle exit list for all locations Coordinate the timely execution of tractor/trailer federal annual inspections; acquire needed parts with vendors to support repairs Oversee maintenance work orders for tractor/trailers; acquire needed parts with vendors to support asset uptime Title, register, and plate power units and trailers online and at the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles Process transportation labor and expense reports Structure vehicle and asset loan agreements Liaise cross-functionally to support driver dispatch and coaching, accident response, vehicle inventory, end-of-life dispositions, license plate ordering, and management of our historical museum assets Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers Maintain Fleet and Company reputation by complying with all regulatory, legal, and ethical considerations Adhere to all federal, state, and location-specific safety regulations and compliance policies Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 2 years of project/program management experience OR Master’s degree OR At least 4 years of project/program management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
