Fleet Support Administrative Assistant
      This is NOT a fully remote position This position will report to the corporate office located at 1015 W Jackson St in Muncie, IN   Position Summary The Townsend Company is a family-run business that’s been around for over 75 years and growing; serving communities across the US with vegetation management and storm response needs. We’re looking to add additional support within our Fleet Division, based out of our corporate office in Muncie, IN, that will also promote those same values. The Fleet Support Administrative Assistant will play an important role in the daily operations of the company. This individual will work under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor and will recover and analyze data from various sources, including Cloud Based AI GPS, Dash Camera, as well as other company software & sources to assist in the tracking and reporting of corporate assets and to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.   Duties and Responsibilities Include   Essential Functions: Work closely with the Logistics Supervisor and the Fleet Division to ensure the company is operating at peak performance Maintain several data points that will allow for significant reporting of data to the field Log and report fuel consumption accurately according to IFTA guidelines Providing exceptional support to the members of the organization, troubleshooting when needed Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice. Secondary Duties: Prepares and assists with project management and documentation as needed. ​ What You'll Bring to the Team High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible office work experience Previous experience with compliance-related materials Interested in learning, technically savvy, flexible, and coachable. Must respect the confidential nature of the information encountered Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Outlook-with emphasis on Excel for spreadsheets and X-lookups) Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Meet all physical requirements of the position. Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations. 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree. Familiar with DOT Compliance related materials
