Fleet Tech Services Program Manager

Position Summary

Provides strategic planning, software administration, program management, implementation support, and training facilitation for Xcel Energy's Fleet Technical Services systems and programs. This includes the Fleet Management Information System, Telematics, Vehicle Diagnostics, Fleet Fuel Card, Electric Vehicle electrification analytics, and charging programs. Serves as the company expert in fleet vehicle technology capabilities to drive business value, cost savings, driver and vehicle safety, and customer experience improvements.

Essential Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert and ensure staff training on Fleet vehicle technology applications, corporate policy on data privacy implications of telematics information, fleet technical reporting capabilities, and available analytics from fleet software systems. Is the software administrator for fleet technology programs. Interface with vendors, Business Systems, and other outside resources to ensure Fleet systems are functional and cost effective. Support internal stakeholders with telematics application system.

Provide daily direction to the Fleet Technical Services Specialist, supporting the telematics & diagnostics technology infrastructure, fleet management information system (FMIS), data integrity validation programs, and integrations with other corporate systems.

Participate in cross-functional teams working on Corporate continuous improvement efforts. Serve as point of contact to leverage any Fleet systems that will support these initiatives.

Support the Fleet Regulatory Consultant team and event-driven investigations of motor vehicle incidents/issues involving company vehicles or drivers where vehicle data is relevant to root cause analysis and safety performance improvements. Work closely with Workforce Relations and Legal to facilitate investigations and conflict resolutions.

Act as escalation contact for all fleet technology system issues and upgrades, including the FMIS, telematics, diagnostics, and any regulatory/DOT compliance systems.

Partner with Strategic Sourcing in maintaining relationships with the vendors of fleet vehicle technology systems, and with Fleet Asset Management and Fleet Operations on emergent technologies such as electrification, alternative fuel systems, and future vehicle-based technology


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Fleet Automotive technologies, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field, OR at least 4 years of experience in technology fields such as telematics, fleet diagnostics, or software administration.

Must be self-directed, flexible, approachable, and a quick learner.

Requires ability to develop and document/map effective Fleet Technology processes/practices.

Effective and proven program & change management skills required.

Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience with AssetWorks, FA Suite, and Geotab telematics systems is a plus.

Advanced analytical skills and ability to handle complex database structures and system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL, Python and APIs.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $82,800.00 to $117,600.00 per year
