It is a Flex based application running on the client machine (different technology on the back end, we need this person to focus work on the client side plus a little php on the webserver).
The client app will be used by customers to interface to professional photo labs for doing a variety of tasks (mainly involving things they want to do with images).
Candidate will not be programming to rigidly defined specs, but more so against an evolving set of use cases and requirements. Position will be reporting to commercialization manager and software development supervisor, but will be working closely with other software engineers, QA and service.
The team is relatively small (5 SW engineers on a 12 person team) with the size of that team growing over the next 12 months.
• Needs to be a solid Engineer.
• Design, coding, debugging, testing, and documenting of Flex based Internet applications for the professional photography industry.
• Experience coding in ActionScript and MXML with the Adobe/Apache Flex Framework.
• Experience with the IntelliJ development environment (further experience with the Eclipse IDE would be a plus).
• Experience with Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash Player applications.
• 4-yr degree in Engineering plus a few years in industry or roughly equivalent work experience.
• Experience with PHP is a plus.
