Job Description
As a Flex Operator, you will assist the Setup and Maintenance department in an entry-level position. Your primary responsibilities include assisting in the removal and setup of die/tooling for production runs, ensuring proper connections for the Process Technician, and maintaining a clean workspace. You will also support assembly or quality on the line when not performing setup work.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the removal and setup of die/tooling for production runs.Remove all wires and hoses to pull tooling and molds out of the press.Select and place new tooling within the machine.Hook up all proper wires, hoses, etc., for the Process Technician.Clean plastic off the floor, machines, and in the hosing.Support assembly or quality control on the line when not performing setup work.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude with an understanding of tools and the ability to assemble/disassemble mechanically.Experience with machine operation, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.Knowledge of hydraulics and the ability to use a multi-meter.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in plastics, mold setting, or general machine setup is a plus.Positive attitude and aspiration to progress into a Setup Technician role.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is hot and loud, with a noticeable plastic smell. The facility is non-climate controlled, and you will work on a 2-2-3 shift schedule, either from 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am. The dress code includes t-shirts, hoodies without strings, sweatshirts, sleeveless tops (not tank tops), jeans, shorts, cargo pants, basketball shorts, and sweatpants. Closed-toe rubber sole shoes are required, and no dangling jewelry is allowed. Tattoos and hair color are acceptable as long as they are not offensive.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, Kentucky.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
