1. Job Summary
Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintain facilities equipment that support the
general operations (i.e., compressors, vac pumps, exhaust fans, air handlers, vents, fan coil units, water coolers, refrigerators, ice machines, etc.).
2. Responsibilities and Functions
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building and facilities related equipmentResponsible for preventative/corrective maintenance on facilities equipment (i.e., compressors, vac pumps, exhaust fans, air handlers, vents, fan coil units, water coolers, refrigerators, ice machines, etc.) in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Responsible for preventative maintenance activities on HVAC equipment and building equipment including changing filters, cleaning coils, lubrication and similar.Responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance of transportation equipment (cars, trolleys, forklifts, etc)Support Maintenance and Engineering on the development and deployment of process/equipment improvements at the operation.Responsible for the execution of assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities in accordance with manufacturer specifications or internal protocols.May assist with ordering of spare parts, maintaining spare parts inventories, and coordinate repair activities with specialized service providers.Comply with all regulatory related standard requirements.Stop further processing in the event of encountering non-conforming product condition.May support Maintenance Technician with routine preventative maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.Troubleshoot and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and hydraulic equipment of building equipment.Monitor the quality and escort maintenance work performed by outside contractor working on elevators, high security gates systems, fire alarm systems, central plant systems andlandscapers.
Assists with testing, inspection, implementation and maintenance of utilities, systems and structures.Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Performs safety checks to comply with regulatory codes.Work from engineering schematics mechanical, electrical and/or follow document assembly procedures.Work from verbal instructions.Comply with documentation requirements/procedures.Must be able to work flexible hours.Communicate problems and/or any suggestions to the supervisorAbility to work with outside contractors3. Educational Level and Special Training Required
Technical Certificate in industrial maintenance, electromechanical systems, electrical or mechanics or equivalent fieldJr High School certificateActive driver license with forklift training/certification4. Work Experience Required
3-5 years of experience in repair of facilities equipment related field.Technical school apprenticeship or related experience.5. Qualifications and Skills
Blueprint/Schematic ReadingComputer literateOperate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and basic measuring equipment.Forklift operationBasic math, measuring and writing skills6. Physical Requirements
