Flight Data Services Associate Product Manager

Job Summary

The Flight Data Services Associate Product Manager is responsible for leading the Flight Data Services product team and facilitating cross functional teams to support product delivery and system operations using industry best practices. The Flight Data Services product team supports device provisioning, field status, and data processing systems, in addition to making data available for internal users. The Associate Product Manager owns the product life cycle for the Flight Data Services product, works with IT leadership to manage resource allocation and backlog prioritization, and closely partners with the business stakeholders providing insight, feedback, and strategic recommendations regarding product performance, quality, and utilization capability. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Work with area leadership to develop and implement the strategic vision for the Flight Data Services product to support the organization's goals Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of flight data management and analytics solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and best practices Utilizes deep understanding of the business stakeholder’s needs to develop new feature requests, schedules release timelines and manages sprints appropriately Manages the backlog to align with product roadmap Manages testing to detect and fix issues to make necessary improvements Work with area leadership to allocate resources to appropriate sprint to achieve work packages Manages the health and performance of the team and the product Monitor system performance, ensure system availability, and address any technical issues promptly. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand integration and resources across products

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of experience working with embedded systems, software development, or data analytics. PMP and Agile/Scrum certifications preferred Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle Ability to demonstrate sound judgement, encourage collaboration and communicate effectively (written and verbal) across multiple levels in the organization.
