We have an exciting opportunity for a Flight Operations Manager at our Grand Forks Facility!
This position is responsible for planning, managing and executing daily operations in support of the Flight Test and Training Center.
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Manage all phases of flight training operations from conceptualization through completion, including acquisition, planning, and managing technical performance to ensure training quality, business, and financial objectives are attained
+ Direct a team of aircrew instructors in the execution of all facets of daily operations
+ Execute daily schedule activity consistent with planned infrastructure, environmental, facility, equipment, and personnel availability
+ Manage system configuration to ensure compliance with training requirements and all applicable safety, airspace, and export regulations and constraints
+ Forecast equipment, facilities, airspace, frequency, licensing, and support requirements. Develop and implement plans to satisfy requirements, and coordinates with applicable scheduling and regulatory bodies
+ Develop and track performance metrics to assess operations’ effectiveness
+ Interact with internal and external representatives at various levels concerning resolution of technical and scheduling issues
+ Manage the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Oversee International Trafficking of Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance
+ Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever applicable training is conducted on behalf of the Company
+ Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Ensure all personnel comply with applicable service guidance
+ Work directly with the government flight representative when required to ensure a healthy working relationship exists between the company and the government to support company priorities and meet applicable government requirements
+ Make daily risk management decisions to ensure incident free operations. Develop short and long term operational risk management plans/goals working directly with the aviation safety office
+ Other duties as assigned or required

**Job Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Complete understanding of UAS mission employment
+ Proven experience managing flight operations at the squadron level
+ Detailed knowledge of USAF and FAA training methodology, Standardization and Evaluation
+ Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field
+ Eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience with at least five of those years managing projects
+ Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives
+ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Project, Excel, Share-point, etc.
+ Able to work extended hours and travel as required
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security ClearanceHIGHLY DESIRED:
+ Former MQ-1 or MQ-9 aircrew
+ PMP certification or DAWIA Level III
+ Extensive technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as comprehensive program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones
