We are looking to appoint a self-motivated individual that is people and service focused to join our Flight Operations team. Someone who gets it right 1st time, shows passion in their work and has the “Can Do” spirit that made DHL world leading in Logistics.

To qualify for this opening you will ideally need a Flight Operations background, possess first class communication skills and the ability to take a pro-active and enthusiastic approach to contribute positively to a varied and pressured workload whilst adapting to changing priorities as they arise. Exemplary time keeping and attention to detail are essential.

The Role:

\n\nResponsible for obtaining all overflight and landing permits/rights for DHL Air’s worldwide operations and supplying the information to the Flight Operations Team to execute the flight.\nMaintain and update the various FAOC’s held globally.\nProduce monthly reports for US Port Authority invoicing.\nBe close to all aspects of traffic rights and regulations.\nLiaise with OCC regarding schedule changes and impact on permits/permissions.\nTake lead for mid term Network change requests.\nEnsure all permissions are held for flights into/out of the EU block.\n\n

Requirements:

\n\nPreferred proven flight operations experience, with a clear understanding of permit requirements and the various processes to obtain them. \nA thorough understanding of A/C documentation. \nA proactive working mentality with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy to the highest of levels. \nA general understanding of the flight operations procedures.\nPrevious experience in airport slot requests, overflight application procedures would be preferable. \nHold five GCSE’s at grade 9-4 (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English.\nA strong working knowledge of MS Office packages including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.\nThe right to work in the UK.\nAble to work occasional weekends to meet business demands.\n\n

The Person:

\n\nCustomer service focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills. \nA “hands-on” people person with a flair and maturity for working in a dynamic and responsible position\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.\nThe ability to work under pressure with flexibility for the Operational needs.\nExcellent team working skills with the ability to deal with colleagues at all levels. \nWilling to embrace the DHL ethos and work accordingly to achieve the targets set.\n\n
