Short DescriptionResponsible for the facilitation and coordination of safe and comprehensive care to all
patients in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports by understanding and
applying the specialized principles and techniques of emergency rotor wing transport.
Will be engaged in procedure and policy development, performance improvement activities,
clinical competency activities and professional and community outreach activities.
This position supports organizational goals by participating in safety-oriented activities,
providing quality customer service, performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a
commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Experience RequiredMinimum 3-5 years’ experience within an active EMS system providing Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Previous flight and/or transport experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
License/Certification RequirementsCurrent NJ Paramedic certification or eligible for reciprocity. NREMT-P preferred.
CCEMT-P preferred. Current BLS, ACLS, PHTLS and PALS certification.
ICS-100 or equivalent and IS-700 or equivalent upon hire. ICS-200 or equivalent and IS-800 or equivalent within first year of employment.
FP-C certification preferred, must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Current state issued driver's license with clean driving record
Other qualifications
Must be physically able to work in all weather and environmental conditions, able to lift and move patients in all circumstance and perform all duties consistent with providing ALS and/or BLS in the pre-hospital or interfacility environment (air or ground).
