This temporary position as Flight Test Design Support Engineer will support SI&T Flight Test engineering leads to support mechanical engineering tasks for Raytheon Flight Test Operations aircraft including the Raytheon Multi-program. In this position you will support aircraft modification design tasks and provide status updates to the SI&T Lead Design Engineer and Test Project Leads. You will participate in flight test engineering review boards. You will occasionally support aircraft modification installation work with aircraft maintenance technicians and Flight Test Engineers (FTEs) during aircraft configurations.
What You Will Do
+ Support flight test design concepts drawings and mechanical documentation for Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR)
+ Engage in PDRs and action results to create drawings and AWOs in support of CDR and testbed modification tasks
+ Submit alterations to FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for substantiation under the direction of the SI&T Flight Test Lead Design Engineer
+ Assist creation and releases of engineering documentation and revisions in PDM
+ Occasional onsite work required at R27 in Ontario, CA to support Raytheon Flight Test programs and the Next Gen Testbed.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
+ Experience in Mechanical Engineering with aircraft modification design
+ Experience with AutoCAD tools and Visio
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Flight test or aircraft integration experience
+ Experience understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and processes
+ Experience with Boeing 727 and large aircraft for flight test modifications

The salary range for this role is $50.26 to $68.00. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
