Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Flight Test Intern. In this role, you will assigned to Flight Test projects or tasks requiring the application of general engineering principles. Project assignments will be associated with the planning, conduct, data analysis, or reporting on flight tests. Potential assignments cover a range of test activities associated with helicopter systems and test disciplines including structures/dynamics, performance, propulsion, flight controls, handling qualities, etc. Specific tasks may include: test preparation and conduct, post test data reduction/analysis, and generation of test plans/reports. This position involves significant teamwork and coordination with flight test co-workers in a variety of disciplines (pilots, mechanics, inspectors, instrumentation, and data technicians), qualification or certification authority representatives and subject matter expert design engineers. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal initiative, and it will be accomplished while working under the immediate direction of a supervisor/mentor. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Must have good interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- 1+ years of college with a major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Aircraft and Aviation knowledge
- Python and/or Matlab experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
