Prospective candidate will provide direct Flight Test Engineering support by working as a key team member supporting the USAF’s Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM) Program Office on Eglin AFB, FL. The Flight Test Engineer will assist coordination with multiple government leads and other contractors within the USAF AFMC AFLCMC/EBX office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide flight test engineering expertise to long range cruise missile weapon system development.
• Possess the ability to understand air vehicle system architecture, design and subsystems integration and mission systems avionics.
• Understand and track system operation limitations and ensure test execution is accomplished within the constraints of vehicle system limitations
• Review of aircraft systems, sub-systems, and components to ensure proper test plans and data collection in flight test
• Possess knowledge of telemetry data systems to coordinate proper set up in support of flight test activities
• Possess experience in flight test of avionics systems, weapons, live fires, and sensors
• Lead and participate in flight test event planning, test execution, data management, data collection and data distribution
• Monitor performance parameters of experimental and operational systems during flight tests
• Participate in development of the overall plans such as the TEMP, Test Points, test cards, etc
• Provide integrated engineering support for design reviews, test planning working groups, test card prep, execution, and post flight reports.
• Participate in and support test program for design reviews, schedule meeting, liaison with test ranges
• Coordinate and provide requirements for test venues, test assets and participants across the DOD community
• Apply technical expertise to assess test range, weapon system or technology project readiness for testing and advise senior government personnel on test readiness
• Prepare mission execution schedules, logistics coordination and track status and risk

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
• 7-10 years of related experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products with emphasis on MS Project and/or any other scheduling programs
• Experience serving as a Test Director and performing on-console operations.
• Active Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Top-Secret clearance
• Test Pilot School Graduate (USN/USAF)
• Master of Science degree in engineering
• Experience preparing briefings and documentation

• Experience preparing flight test documents; Universal Documentation System (UDS) including Program Requirements Document (PRD) and Operation Requirements (OR)
• Experience preparing mission execution checklists and countdown documents
• Experience testing at various test ranges
