Responsibilities
Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our team as a Float Medical Office Representative. This role involves answering patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring necessary pre-certifications and insurance information are in place. Additionally, you will coordinate patient tests, procedures, and referrals while maintaining clear communication with patients across multiple office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer patient phone calls and schedule appointments.Conduct patient pre-certification to verify insurance coverage for appointments and medical services.Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.Communicate appointment details, instructions for procedures, and test preparation to patients.Collect insurance information and ensure accuracy of patient personal data.May be required to collect fees such as co-pays and co-insurance during patient visits.Perform other duties as assigned.Float between multiple office locations as needed.Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 2 years of related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with medical insurance and pre-certification processes is preferred.Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.Strong teamwork and adaptability to float between different locations.
