The float pool RN is an experienced and flexible RN role utilized to fill longer-term absences created by unfilled positions, leaves, and extended periods of time off throughout the organization.  

This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team. Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adolescents through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Patient Safety and Performance Improvement Plan at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS   Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Minimum two (2) years RN experience, acute care and/or critical care preferred Shift flexibility (Will be required to work all shifts) PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Possesses current Illinois RN license. Pay Status: NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
