Floater Behavioral Technician- flexible schedule/weekly pay!
Amergis Staffing is seeking a Floater Behavioral Technician to support students with special needs and implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position involves working across multiple locations, providing flexible support where needed. Pay: $20-25/hr Location: Pasadena and South Pasadena Availability: Full Time & Part Time (Monday-Friday) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Instructional Support: Follow the instructions of the BCBA, program supervisor, or teacher. Provide behavior assistance and interventions to assigned clients, utilizing ABA-related teaching strategies. + Behavioral Interventions: Offer behavior support services and crisis intervention as needed. Review and implement behavior intervention plans and behavioral goals found within IEPs. + Data Management : Document sessions per policies and procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection. Maintain strict confidentiality requirements. + Student Assistance: Assist students in developing independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygiene. Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the supervising teacher, reinforcing appropriate behaviors and supervising students during these techniques. + Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned or necessary, adapting to different school environments and student needs. Minimum Requirements: + Education: High School diploma or equivalent. + Certification: Registered or Certified Behavior Technicians require Board or State Certification/Licensure (as applicable per state and/or client requirements). + Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred. + Certifications: Current CPR certification. Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement). + Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including supervisors, co-workers, and clients). Computer proficiency required. + Specialized Knowledge: Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and data collection is highly emphasized for this role.
