The Signia by Hilton Atlanta is looking for a passionate Floor Manager/Sommelier to join their Food & Beverage team! Capolinea is our signature fine-dining restaurant, with a menu spanning traditional Italian and contemporary American cuisines, including delectable handmade pastas, prime-cut steaks and tableside martini service.

Minimum requirements for this position include at least 3-5 years of leadership experience in an upscale restaurant setting and related Sommelier certifications. Luxury hotel experience highly preferred.

Shift Pattern: typical shifts are from 2pm-close or 3pm-close. Weekend/holiday availability required.

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Floor Manager/Sommelier, you would be responsible for recommending wines to guests using your thorough and current knowledge of wines. Additionally, as Floor Supervisor, you would be responsible for assisting with the management of the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nDirects and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.\nPlans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.\nImplements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.\nEnsures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.\nHelps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.\nInterviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.\nProvide professional and current knowledge of wines to guests\nRecommend wines to accompany relevant dishes to patrons\nDescribe and up-sell wines to provide excellent customer experience\nSuggest wines to accompany new menus in line with financial budget\nProject a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service\n\n
