Floor Manager Facilities
Description We are looking for a Floor Manager Facilities based in Queens, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds, managing equipment and supplies, and supervising subordinate staff. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of building, grounds, and equipment. • Manage and coordinate installations and refurbishments within the facility. • Supervise staff members, assign work, evaluate performance, and administer disciplinary action as needed. • Adjust staff work schedules to accommodate call outs, vacations, and other time off. • Execute audits of equipment and maintain record-keeping policies. • Conduct property inspection walks on all floors and outdoor areas, and prepare detailed reports. • Ensure all employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines. • Monitor and report risk and safety concerns to maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests. • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards. • Promote positive public and employee relations. Requirements • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management and About Time software. • Demonstrated ability in providing excellent Customer Service. • Strong Scheduling management skills to ensure smooth operations. • Ability to manage Multiple Phone lines efficiently. • Previous experience in a similar role as Floor Manager Facilities is highly desirable. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients. • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate team members. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. • Must have strong organizational and project management skills. • Knowledge of standard policies and practices related to facilities management. • Must possess strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when necessary. • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a facilities management context. • Strong budgeting and financial management skills. • Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints. • High standard of professionalism and adherence to workplace policies and procedures.
