Floor Supervisor

Pay Range

20.98 USD - $33.16

PURPOSE
This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Operations Manager in overseeing warehouse operations in the bulk area picking and put-away process. This position will also be responsible for all orders, ensuring on time shipment, holding daily pre-work meetings to communicate information to the team members and ensuring the accuracy of the inventory. This position may supervise a team of 8 to 10 team members. The Floor Bulk Supervisor will coach team members on the importance of quality work performance and work to ensure superior customer service.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security
are maintainedAssist in physical inventoriesEnsure proper stock rotation and all supplies needed for the warehouse are available for use (RF units, batteries, equipment, etc.)Supervise a team of 10 or more employees and their workflow to ensure maximum service levels are maintainedDocument attendance and participate in reviews for team members, coach, train and mentor Distribution Center (DC) team members in the areas of productivity, quality and safetyCreate and update reports via data entry for warehouse use and to manage teams performanceCoordinate with Inbound and Outbound Coordinators for planning and execution purposesHandle and resolve conflict, process team member requests, engage team members proactively and lead team building activitiesEvaluate warehouse associates on picking and put-away procedures and monitors their progressUpdate status of daily tasks, manage reports, team member assessments, issues or concerns, equipment status, and process adjustmentsOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methodsComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsEnsure warehouse flow and planningMaintain the facility’s equipment and materials and a clean, neat, and orderly work area


MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Two to five years of recent work experienceExcellent communications skills (Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently)Must be a self-starter and possess excellent customer service skillsAbility to perform basic mathematical equations (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)Must be detail oriented and highly organizedOSHA and/or Class II, Class IV or Class V Forklift Certification preferredSubject to National Security screening.


WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a weekWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.


PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Store Support Center Associates
Provide leadership and support training on all Safety programs, processes and procedures, insuring that every associate is properly trained for their position.
Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position. This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications. Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations. All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
