POSITION:                 Floor Technician

ASM,, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate part-time opening for a Floor Technician at the ASM Richmond facilities (Altria Theater, Dominion Energy Center, and Bon Secours Training Center). The Part-Time Floor Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, & bonneting) areas that include offices, classrooms, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, stages, hallways and other public areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all timesPerforms preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use at beginning and end of the shiftHandles floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surfaceProvides floor maintenance; including but not limited to, vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholsteryPerforms other duties as assignedASM provides a dynamic working environment in which duties and responsibilities may change; therefore, employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of their duties

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the materials, methods, implements and devices used in cleaning building areaAbility to understand and speak English and follow oral and written instructionsPossess strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to work as a team playerPossess considerable knowledge of the operation, use and care of vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishing machines and general house-keeping equipmentAbility to work under pressure and time constraints (due to schedule and last minute job requests)Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments
