**Job Title: Floor Care Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Floor Care Technician to maintain and restore various floor surfaces using appropriate procedures and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in hard-surface floor maintenance, carpet and upholstery care, and the use of industrial floor care equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
+ Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
+ Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.
+ Follow proper procedures for carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
+ Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
+ Carry out other duties as assigned by the manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
+ Ability to follow safety procedures.
+ Experience in waxing, buffing, and janitorial services.
+ Skill in operating scrubbing, polishing, and burnishing equipment.
+ Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, and floor maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
+ Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.

**Work Environment**
This position is onsite at a health system facility, with the majority of openings at the main hospital and two openings specifically for the children's tower. Available shifts include 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) and overnight (11pm-7:30am). The majority of work will be Monday to Friday, but flexibility is needed as weekend work may be required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
