Flooring Superintendent
Job Title: Superintendent Flooring/Tile Job Description The General Manager of flooring and tile oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, and overall performance of the flooring and tile division. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in construction, particularly in excavation, concrete work, and project management. The General Manager will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities + Oversee daily operations of the flooring and tile division. + Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance division performance. + Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. + Maintain a safe work environment. + Lead and manage a team effectively. + Utilize in-depth knowledge of flooring and tile processes and techniques. + Apply excellent project management and organizational abilities. + Manage budgets, forecasts, and control costs. + Utilize construction management software and tools. Essential Skills + Strong leadership and team management skills. + In-depth knowledge of flooring and tile construction processes and techniques. + Excellent project management and organizational abilities. + Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. + Proficiency in construction management software and tools. + OSHA certification or similar safety certifications are preferred. Work Environment The role reports to the Vice-President of Construction. Initially, this will be a working supervisory position. The role requires working in both office and field environments. Travel to job sites, client meetings, and industry events may be required. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project needs, is essential.
