Flower Installation and Maintenance (Driver)

Spend your day outdoors, cultivating beautiful flowers. As a member of the BrightView Flower Department, you will work in a more specialized part of landscaping by helping to install and maintain seasonal color beds.

This is a full time position with overtime available frequently throughout the year. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a drug screening.

 

What you'll do:

Prepare for the day:

Load flowers and mulch onto the truckSecure all equipmentMaintain and correctly use personal protective equipment that is provided.

Perform maintenance on Flower Beds:

Hand pull weedsGroom annual flowers, remove expired blooms and shape plantsRemove dead plants and install replacements

Plantings and Flower Installation:

Safely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipmentPrep soil uniformly for flower installationInstall annual plants properly considering depth, size, placement, and spacingApply mulch appropriately for type of materialWater material correctly

 

Skills we're seeking:

Valid Drivers LicenseSome experience in landscaping helpful but not necessaryMust be able to operate various lawn care machinery including tillers, edgers, and backpack blowersMust be able to operate various vehicles, with or without trailersBilingual English/Spanish highly preferred but not required.

Experience is preferred but not necessary. Must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work Monday through Friday.

Physical demands of this job include being able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, bend and frequently kneel throughout the day, and work outdoors in the Florida weather (sometimes hot, sometimes cold).
