Job Overview
Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other instructions. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipes.
Job Description & ResponsibilitiesPerform various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations.Utilize welding equipment to repair discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipes.Interpret and work from customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.Set up and operate welding equipment according to specifications.Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation.Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper operation.Utilize various hand tools and mobile device applications and programs.Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding (1 year) preferred.Must be able to work in changing ambient temperatures.Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.Must have reliable transportation.Steel toe boots, sleeved shirts, and welding hood required.Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and protective gloves provided.
Shifts Available
5:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Thursday
3:00PM - 1:30AM, Monday - Thursday
5 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday/Saturday/Sunday (paid for 40 hours)
**All employees can expect to work at least 5 hours of overtime a week

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
Steve Mizer (repair welders) MIG/flux at least 1 year exp starts at $19 on first shift, James Abernathy(flux) or Mike Smith (fitting) regarding experience and will be given a tour and a weld test. Must bring steel toes and hood. Will weld on scrap first and have visual test. Should plan to be there 45 min-1.5 hours.
