**Job Title: Flux Core Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Flux Core Welder with the ability to read and interpret shop blueprints/diagrams, pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test, and perform various welding tasks. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and be proficient in welding in vertical and horizontal positions. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret shop blueprints/diagrams. + Pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test. + Perform layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts for welding preparation. + Weld in vertical and horizontal positions. + Handle materials as needed using hand, overhead crane, forklift, or other equipment. + Operate various types of welding equipment including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and submerged arc welding. + Train on the first shift and transition to 2nd or 3rd shift as needed. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and interpret shop blueprints/diagrams. + Proficiency in passing a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test. + Experience in welding in vertical and horizontal positions. + 2-4 years of relevant welding experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Capability to bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, and carry various materials/equipment. **Why Work Here?** This is a union environment offering a high starting pay rate and comprehensive benefits including four different health plans through Highmark, dental and vision coverage, and a 401k plan with up to a 5% match. **Work Environment** This is an industrial shop environment. Training occurs on the first shift (7am-3:30pm). Regular shifts include 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm), and 3rd Shift (10pm-6:30am) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Initial training will be on the first shift before transitioning to the 2nd or 3rd shift based on seniority.
