Job Title: Flux-Core Welder

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Flux-core welders to fabricate heavy-duty equipment from start to finish. This role involves welding mild steel ranging from 1/4\" to 3\" thick to produce excavators used in construction settings. Welders will be working on industrial buckets for backhoes, performing multiple passes on their welds. This is a full fabrication position, not a production welding setting, as the buckets are welded from start to finish.

ResponsibilitiesFabricate heavy-duty equipment such as excavators.Perform Flux-core welding on mild steel from 1/4\" to 3\" thick.Conduct multiple passes on welds for complete fabrication.Read and interpret blueprints for welding and fabrication projects.Ensure all welding and fabrication are done to high standards for heavy industrial applications.Essential Skills1+ years of heavy gauge Flux-Core welding experience.Proficiency with .030 & .045 wire.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Capability to lift 50lbs consistently.Must have own tools and welding helmet, tools, and steel-toed boots.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with structural steel and MIG welding.Knowledge of stick welding and structural welding techniques.Familiarity with fabrication processes and equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility includes over 20 workstations, a separate building for mechanical assembly and painting, and overhead cranes for lifting heavy materials. This is not a production welding shop; it focuses on custom welding projects from start to finish. The work environment is committed to safety and provides the necessary equipment and conditions to perform high-quality welding and fabrication tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00
