The role involves interpreting drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements and following process procedures. **Responsibilities** + Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements. + Follow process procedures to ensure accuracy and quality. + Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, plasma arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding. + Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. + Operate brazing and soldering equipment. + Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening or bending machines. + Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers. + Regularly report to work on time and prepared to perform all tasks as outlined in the job description and/or assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience with Mig welding, blueprint reading, and structural welding. + Proficiency in operating welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment. + Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications. + Knowledge of various welding processes including gas tungsten arc welding, FCAW, plasma arc welding, and more. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and bending machines. + Skills in operating brazing and soldering equipment. + Ability to repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corvallis, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
