FOH Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that the restaurant is properly prepared and set for dining prior to the start of each shift. Maintain a high level of membership contact throughout service hours. Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, menu deviations, and aware if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc. Ensure basic cleaning tasks are completed by staff before, during, and after service. Promptly address concerns of members, employees, and guests and refer to Clubhouse Manager as necessary. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures and ensures the same compliance by staff. Assist Clubhouse Manager to build a strong, effective team through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling, and leadership. Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines. Manage operations in absence of the Clubhouse Manager. Ensure proper hygiene by monitoring staff for clean and appropriate uniforms, personal grooming, and food handling. Fill in for absent staff as needed. Assist with special events as needed. Completes alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire. Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by the Director of Club Operations, and ensures staff compliance with the same.

 

FOH Supervisor Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in the food service industry preferred. Ability to adhere to club standards of service. Ability to meet physical demands of the position. Outstanding verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills. Knowledgeable of food, wine, and spirits. Understanding of POS systems, payroll systems, and back-office computer systems. Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

 

FOH Supervisor Physical Requirements:

Standing and/or walking 90% of workday. Lifting, carrying and/or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of workday. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of workday Working on a computer 25% of workday
