Food and Beverage Corporate Account Manager

The Food & Beverage Corporate Account Manager participates in the overall growth and development of CPS. His/her primary role is to grow and retain new and existing Food and Beverage (F&B) clients by presenting solutions and services. This includes conducting general sales, marketing, and business development duties that will increase revenues for CPS. In addition, it includes using a proactive approach in analyzing and rectifying customer concerns in keeping with established policies and procedures. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Food and Beverage Division and has no direct or indirect reports. The position works with mid and senior level management, program managers, and other business development staff.

The Role: 

New Business Development  Present to and consult with mid and senior level management (corporate and individual clients) on the unique aspects of the CPS F&B program to develop new F&B portfolios and increase penetration with existing clients.  Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.  Use knowledge of the market and competitors, to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.  Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other tools to identify potential non-LCS food and beverage program clients and the decision makers within these organizations; and thereafter partner with the CPS Business Development team to target these prospective clients with a view to increasing new membership and F&B program/s growth for CPS.  Prospect and network (inclusive of new client site visits) in order to increase F&B program awareness and growth.  Develop new business as appropriate with assigned vendors and communities to align with assigned goals; working within the parameters of any purchasing platforms and processes of the customer including preferred vendors.  Participate in bi-weekly calls with manager to keep current on new and existing business status; and submit accurate monthly progress reports. Existing Client and Vendor Business Development/Retention  Use CRM system and other tools to track growth opportunities and drive sales.  Manage corporate and individual customer relationships by:  Understanding and researching customer inquiries;  Responding to customer inquiries and questions regarding services, products and account information; and  Resolving problems, proposing new solutions and providing proactive follow up in a timely manner.  Working within the parameters of any purchasing platforms and processes of the customer including preferred vendors.  Establish a thorough knowledge of CPS products, services, vendor information and customer base.  Use independent judgment and discretion in resolving customer complaints and providing problem resolution.  Act as liaison between communities and vendors to meet service expectations.  Conduct customer surveys to obtain marketing information about products and services, as needed.  Gather pricing information from current and potential customers and finalize price comparison spreadsheets using Excel reports.  Utilize SharePoint to review monthly and quarterly sales figures.  Analyze sales figures, draw conclusions and make sound business recommendations based on data.  Coordinate new vendor announcements to appropriate customers and staff.  Assist in training new CPS staff members as needed.  Attend in-services, training and education sessions, as assigned.  Participate in corporate client site visits as assigned.  Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior F&B Division Manager, Director of Strategic Sourcing and/or SVP/COO.

 

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, sales/marketing, healthcare or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.  2 to 5 years previous experience in sales, customer service/client account management required as well as experience with a CRM system.  Food and Beverage experience required.  Senior Living industry and/or GPO experience preferred.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong knowledge of food and beverage procurement and supply chain processes required. Proven ability to build and grow client relationships in a B2B environment required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (in person and virtual) required. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite required. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working with group purchasing organizations or in a similar collective procurement model preferred. Familiarity with national and regional foodservice distributors and suppliers preferred. Experience working with purchasing platforms like DSSI preferred.

Travel Frequency: 26-50%

Estimated Salary Range: $64,000 – $80,000

 

The actual title and salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
