**Job Description**
The Food and Beverage Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the venue. This individual will manage day-to-day restaurant service, event catering, and staff, ensuring high-quality service and operational excellence. The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to balance operational needs with guest satisfaction. The Food and Beverage Manager will lead the team, maintain financial oversight, and coordinate catering and special events to deliver exceptional experiences for guests.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ **Operational Management:** Oversee the entire food and beverage operation, including restaurant service, kitchen operations, and event catering, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
+ **Event Coordination:** Plan and execute catering orders and special events, ensuring they meet customer expectations in terms of food quality, timing, and presentation.
+ **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead, train, and motivate the food and beverage team, ensuring all members are well-prepared and equipped to provide exceptional guest service. Spend at least 60% of the time on the floor supervising, coaching, and training staff.
+ **Financial Management:** Manage food, labor, and sales targets while maintaining department budgets and controlling costs. Provide accurate reports on revenue, expenses, and catering performance.
+ **Client Relations:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, assisting with event planning and providing creative solutions to meet their needs.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Ensure the delivery of consistent quality in food and beverage presentation, customer service, and overall guest experience.
+ **Staffing & Scheduling:** Recruit, train, schedule, and lead the food and beverage and catering teams to ensure optimal staffing levels and efficient operations.
+ **Compliance & Safety:** Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, occupational health standards, and environmental policies, including food handling and alcohol service certifications.
+ **Reporting & Communication:** Report on event performance, operational concerns, and opportunities for improvement to the Food and Beverage Director.
+ **Adaptability:** Take on new tasks as needed and be flexible to meet the needs of the business and customer demands.

**Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years of experience in food and beverage management, catering, or event services.
+ Minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in a midscale to upscale restaurant or event venue.
+ Strong experience with financial management, including achieving sales targets, controlling costs, and managing budgets.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
+ Proven ability to plan and execute events, ensuring high-quality food, service, and guest satisfaction.
+ A bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and event-based hours.
+ Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required.
+ Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
+ Strong guest service and associate service orientation.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
