Job Description

The Vue Food and Beverage Manager will be in charge of managing the operations of Vue Restaurant while ensuring all Associates from servers, bussers, bartenders, hosts and others are aligned to perform to their full potential, service according to Omni standards and guests receive superior service.

 

The Vue Food and Beverage Manager will assist the Vue General Manager with scheduling, coaching, counseling and mentoring Associates. As well as, oversee payroll, assist in managing the flow of the outlets and help deliver positive change to the outlets.

Responsibilities Bring fresh and current ideas to our food and beverage offerings.Monitor the flow of service in the outlets, ensuring prompt service. Follow through on out of stock items, IOU’s etc, to ensure all par stocks maintained in the outlets. Perform inventory and ensure par levels.Train Beverage service staff in beverage service, bar management, bar cleanliness. Manage TIPS (Responsible Alcohol Service) and Winequest training for all employees. Engage with guests regularly, ask for feedback and follow-up with concerns.Ensure teams receive thorough training at all times.Manage labor hours effectively through scheduling and intelligent assignment of of responsibilities and duties. Prepare requisition and verify supplies.Schedule associates and complete payroll.Conduct standup meetings and department meetings. Coach, counsel and mentor Associates to success.Inspect and observe all aspects of the daily operation and follow-up on deficiencies. Make recommendations for change to ensure peak performance.Develop and implement guest service initiatives.Assist staff and associates wherever needed to ensure service is never compromised.Manage reservations effectively to ensure ideal flow in the outlets.Ensure all staff meet uniform specifications and standards of appearance. Perform service audits. Follow-up with training and coaching as needed.Communicate with culinary teams and culinary leadership to ensure seamless and timely kitchen service.Ensure team is up to date with the latest menu changes and develop positive up-selling techniques with service staff. Qualifications 1-3 years of Beverage or Food & Beverage Management experience.Previous upscale hotel/resort experience preferredMust be able to work all shifts including AM’s, PM’s, overnight, weekends, and holidays Must have strong communication and the ability to drive the team towards a common goal.Candidate needs to have a very good understanding of current trends as well as operational financials.

Salary Range: $68,640-72,000

The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience
