As the Applications Development Scientist you will…

 

Partner with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support and develop custom applications that showcase the products' unique benefits. Leverage your formulation experience to create innovative product applications and technical data highlighting ingredient functionality and potential. Assess new raw materials, exploring their potential to unlock new opportunities for their product portfolio. Demonstrate product benefits to customers, ensuring they understand the science behind the solutions. Offer technical assistance to customers, helping them solve challenges and optimize their use of their products. Contribute to the development of presentations, technical brochures, and data sheets that effectively communicate our products' value. Represent the company at industry events, including trade shows and conferences, building connections and staying at the forefront of industry trends. Provide training and guidance to our sales and marketing teams, ensuring they have the knowledge to communicate technical details effectively.

 

To be considered for the Applications Development Scientist role you will have…

 

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related scientific field. 2+ years of technical experience in product development and formulation within the food industry. Strong knowledge of hydrocolloids (pectins, alginates) and their applications in food. In-depth understanding of FDA, USDA, FSIS regulations, GMPs, SOPs, the product development process, functional ingredients, and relevant processing equipment.
