About the role

The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is looking for a Food & Beverage Leader to join our exciting F&B Team.This is a great opportunity for a Leader who has a minimum of Two years of supervisory or assistant management level experience within a luxury hotel setting. The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience in a luxury resort/hotel setting and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills to lead a team and provide an exceptional guest experience. The candidate must be passionate and goal-driven with a desire to work towards a department head role. The role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and adaptability. A genuine passion for excellence and continuously setting the bar high in all areas of the resort is a must for this position.

What you will do

JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees and supervisors to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met along with long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.The ability to be visible in both operations, provide guest recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for lunch.Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.The ability to work closely with your Department Head Ability to control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

What you bring

Education: A college degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is preferredExperience: Two to three years previous experience in an assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.  Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting. Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
