Food & Beverage Attendant - High Stakes

Compensation: Starting at $14-$17.50 Based on Experience

The Opportunity

The High Stakes Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to Guests in the high stakes gaming areas, ensuring a delightful and memorable experience in accordance with Grand Casinos high standards of Guest Service.

What You Get to Do

Provide a cordial and warm reception to Guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Take and fill all food and beverage orders promptly and accurately, maintaining the area in accordance with venue standards. Attend to Guests’ needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled. Deliver efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to lounge Guests, adhering to venue standards. Address any Guest questions and direct concerns to appropriate management. Maintain knowledge of the Dram Shop Act, gaming, and beverage regulations. Work as a team member with Beverage Servers, Bar Backs, Utilities, Leaders, and other Associates to ensure efficient operations. Collaborate with Casino Hosts, Grand Rewards Reps, Slot Associates, Leaders, and Marketing Personnel to ensure smooth operations. Balance sales in compliance with the Cash Handling and Over/Short Policy and ensure prompt and courteous payment handling from Guests. Verify the availability and readiness of Food Options and assist with maintenance tasks (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary. Maintain a clean and sanitary area at all times, fully complying with health regulations. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

What Qualifies You

High School diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of Fine Dining and/or Banquet Service experience or three (3) years of Casual Restaurant Service experience. Serv-Safe Certification preferred (Certification is required within one (1) year of placement). Alcohol Awareness Certification within 2 months of employment. Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA). Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s). Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Must-Have Skills

Demonstrated ability to provide high-level, courteous, and professional service to Guests, ensuring a delightful experience. Strong focus on accurately taking and fulfilling orders, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with Guests and team members. Ability to address Guest inquiries and resolve concerns efficiently. Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members across different departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately and balancing sales in compliance with company policies. Familiarity with the Dram Shop Act, gaming regulations, and beverage service standards to ensure compliance. Flexibility to adapt to changing Guest needs, operational needs, and new procedures.

Physical Needs

Regularly required to talk and hear; see and adjust focus; stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl; handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands. Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to low-to-moderate noise levels (offices) and moderate-to-loud noise levels (public areas). Exposure to second-hand smoke, moving mechanical/electrical components, and chemical solutions (cleaning, polishing, lubricating compounds).
