Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee Brick & Beam restaurant at the hotel.
ResponsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years of progressive experience in full service restaurants or hotels.Have experience managing banquets.Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets and word processing.Familiar with Micros system.Familiar with scheduling and payroll.Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly and service-oriented manner.Be punctual & report to work according to schedule.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid.Ensure training of all F & B team members.Maintain follow-through of all guest requests, complaints and/or accidents which occur in the Restaurant.Motivate, coach and discipline all F & B team members according to company policies.Review F & B staff worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to Accounting on a timely basis.Conduct pre-shift meetings before service.Prepare employee shift schedule according to the business forecast & payroll budget guidelines on a timely basis.Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and ensure implementation of Food and Beverage promotional ideas in the restaurant.Attending weekly resume meetings, making sure events orders are executed to the highest standards. Manage the Market inventory, ordering & restocking the market on a timely basis. Making sure the merchandize in the Market are in season, the display is attractive.Achieve high guest service scores in the restaurant.Initiate all necessary F&B-related reports according to company standards.Ensure that the quarterly operating equipment inventory is done, pars are evaluated and quarterly purchases are planned.Conduct beverage purchasing as needed. Conduct monthly beverage inventories and reconciliations.Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, team members and other departments.Establish and maintain key control system.Monitor and follow up on restaurant cash overages and shortages.Maintain the POS system to ensure smooth transactions for sales. Maintain required pars of all stock.Review food sales for accuracy daily.Perform any other duties as requested by the Director of Operations or the General Manager. Property Details
