SUMMARY

Provide direction to various food and beverage outlets determined by senior F&B leadership. Provide safe, efficient, organized, high quality and profitable food & beverage operations. Deliver excellent guest experience with high quality of food, beverage and service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Deliver exceptional internal and external guest service. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team members’ needs and questions.Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, transfers, discipline and other employment actions for team members.Lead F&B team by attracting, developing and retaining top talent.Oversee training, development and team member engagement for the assigned outlets.Monitor and manage performance of all guest service standards. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels.Assist in the preparation of operating budgets for the fiscal year, manage and analyze profit and loss statements versus budget and monthly prior year. Monitor and forecast food & beverage revenues and expenses for scheduling and ordering needs.Generate revenue through menu engineering, pricing strategy and other incentive and marketing techniques.Oversee cost controls and labor scheduling for all aspects of restaurant operations to optimize service standards and maximize profitability.Manage the physical aspect of F&B operations to ensure alignment with appearance standards, to include carpets, walls, lighting, windows, drapes, flooring, upholsteries, and overall general cleanliness.Monitor and manage adherence to all sanitation standards, productivity standards and ensure managers follow all policies and procedures. Ensures and personally verifies the quality and consistency of the food product by tasting menu items with the F&B Leadership team.Interact with Guests and Team Members by maintaining a visible presence in Guest areas during peak business periods.Increase revenues through research and taking positive steps to adjust or change menu offerings, service, portion control, presentation and waste.Develop and implement department management plans including budgets, labor schedules and systems of accountability.Promote the courteous treatment of guests and team members including resolving complaints, answering questions and providing general service.Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures and rules including operations manuals, to promote compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.Ensure proper communication between the front of house and back of house operations while taking ownership of all responsible areas.Ensure periodic quality checks for all products and service, i.e., greeting times.Maintain the viability and integrity of all operationsPerform other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in hotel, food and beverage or hospitality management or related field OR at least 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a senior food and beverage position. Demonstrated ability to effectively build an F&B team.Ability to train, coach and develop F&B team members. Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices.Guest oriented and service minded.Strong problem solving and excellent analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must possess a high level of energy and excellent coaching skills.Must possess analytical skills.Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make immediate independent judgment decisions.Excellent knowledge of food and kitchen operations.Reduce turnover through team member engagement initiatives. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, charts, data analysis)Experienced with collaborative tools (Microsoft Teams and SharePoint).Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the application of sanitation procedures.Demonstrate knowledge of calculating cost of sales and scheduling team members.Ability to reading, understanding and analyzing profit and loss statements.Experience in planning department budgets.Knowledgeable with beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and sequence of service in multiple lines of business.Ability to review and comprehend necessary documentation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

Responsible for staff development and training programs.Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
