Food & Beverage Sanitation Supervisor

Job summary

The Food & Beverage Sanitation Supervisor reports to the Director of In-Park Revenue and oversees food safety programs, audits, reporting, and training in all areas of the Theme Park and Water Park Food & Beverage Department to ensure proper food safety guidelines are being met. Conduct daily audits of concession stands, kitchens and food production areas, as well as all point of sales and service will be completed. Generate reports on inspections and work with Food & Beverage Team to maintain the highest level of food safety standards. Conduct regular training related to food safety and sanitation.

Summary of essential job functions

· Weekly internal sanitation audits

· Team coaching and development

· Responsible for the annual food safety re-certification for management and hourly associates

· Concession stand, kitchen, and catering area sanitation walk through audits

· Conducting annual NFP training and monthly refresher courses

· Creating weekly reports utilizing Six Flags Safety Culture in alignment with Diversey standards

· Work cohesively with all Food & Beverage Operations management and associates towards corrective action and continuous improvements to the food safety and sanitation of the department

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Teaching experience preferred

· Serv Safe instructor and exam proctor certification

· Background in culinary arts or hospitality management

· Knowledge of food borne pathogens, illness, and food science

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Lighting is both natural and artificial. Equipment used includes radios, tablets, cleaning tools. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and working with various kitchen equipment. Days and hours will vary and will include weekends, evenings and holidays.
