Food & Beverage Supervisor

We are looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Courtyard Providence/Lincoln team! This hotel is located at 636 George Washington Hwy, Lincoln, RI 02865, and is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

The main role of the Food & Beverage Supervisor is to be a leader of the team onsite while also working alongside the staff. This position requires previous food and beverage experience. Typical shifts are 6 AM-12 PM, and evening coverage from 5 PM-11 PM as part of the training process. Days/evenings could vary based on the demands of the hotel. Days off will vary from week to week.

 Responsibilities include:

Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure Excellence in service for all guests. Responsible for preparation and execution of morning and/or evening food service including cooking, food prep, cleaning, and any other required task requested by management. Establishing and ensuring quality standards are attained and maintained. Managing inventories of: cost of goods sold, kitchen equipment, linens, etc. Responding and resolving all guest complaints concerning food and beverage, in a timely and appropriate manner. Inspect kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and preventative maintenance upkeep daily. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, scheduling, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What we look for:

• At least 3 years of previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is required.
• Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary.
• Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
• Must have valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
