Job Description

The Washington Post’s Food team is looking for a full-time editorial aide to join our dynamic team of journalists. This is a detail-oriented position that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask. 

  

Responsibilities: 

Day-to-day administrative tasks for the Food team, including reader communication. 

Support editors in the test kitchen and photo studio.  

General writing and research tasks, including recipe roundups, gathering nutritional information and recipe database entry.  

Opportunities to help grow our social media presence, test and develop recipes, and occasionally write feature stories. 

  

Preferred qualifications: 

A passion for food journalism. 

Punctuality, initiative, reliability and ability to take direction well.  

Clear communication skills.  

This position is based in our Washington newsroom and starts at $28/hr.
