Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Position Summary As a Food Line Attendant the focus is providing high quality menu items in a detail-focused work environment based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential. You will assist in follow recipes, manage cooking stations, and ensure dishes are prepared to order and plated consistently and promptly. You must have a strong willingness to learn, and excellent multi-tasking. Availability should include most weekends and holidays. Ensure prompt and friendly engagement with guests in serving menu offerings Be a team player with a variety of ongoing duties and responsibilities regarding cleanliness, sanitation, speed, and guest service Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines, such as those for special diets, are followed Clean or sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, or facilities Monitor food preparation or serving techniques to ensure that proper procedures are followed Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications What we are looking for: Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by team and guests. Must be able to perform basic culinary skills satisfactorily. Maintain professionalism and a team player mindset. Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Verbal communication skills in English are essential. Compensation Base wage ranges from $17.68-$20.62 an hour plus tips. Hourly rate varies based on experience. Furthermore, you will receive a free season pass, one free dependent pass or five courtesy lift tickets, and access to free skiing at multiple ski resorts in the region, retail discounts, and 5% bonus at the end of the season upon completion of contract. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. This includes moving furniture, maintenance duties, and keeping all areas neat, clean, and organized. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and can be at risk of burns and cuts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
