Actalent is immediately hiring for a Quality Technician in a food manufacturing environment here in the Columbus/West Jefferson area. This role is in a brand new facility with all new state-of-the-art lab equipment This is an exciting long-term career opportunity looking for someone who wants to continue growing in the field! This role will be working in a climate controlled facility! An ideal candidate will have experience in a food manufacturing environment, primarily working in quality although that is not required. We currently have openings on both 1st and 3rd shift! Job Description: + Perform quality checks on in-process products + Inspect and sample incoming ingredients to submit for internal lab testing as required + Verify proper set-up of production lines at start-up and shift change + Ensure lab equipment, refrigerators, and thermometer, among others, are properly maintained and calibrated + Adhere to safe work practices, follows necessary regulations and guidelines. + Maintains sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. + Will be trained on and perform some basic laboratory testing such as PH, Color, Solids, Viscosity. Additional Skills and Qualifications: + Must have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in a food manufacturing/production environment.
