The shift lead position will support the team in daily tasks. The lead will spend most of the shift on the production floor assisting associates and working closely with the client operators and supervisors. Some tasks include conducting shift check-in's, working on the floor alongside your team, and enforcing GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), PPE/Safety rules and policies. The Lead will be expected to follow all Staff Management | SMX and client policies at all times and communicate with all supervisors.
Reliable and able to work within industry-standard Good Manufacturing Practices at all times (no artificial nails/eyelashes, nail polish, jewelry, etc. cannot be worn while producing and/or packaging food products).Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.Supply production lines as needed.Responsible for correct placement of product on line or in containers, boxes, or pallets.Maintains works area in a clean and organized manner.Performs all other duties as assigned.Basic math skills.Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.This is a manufacturing environment and there will be an exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.This is a team environment; all employees must be able to work together and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.Ability to stand and work with your hands throughout the duration of the shift.Ability to lift at least 25lbs.Depending on which location, our environments can be very cold or very warm.
Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $20.00 - $20.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
