Food Projects Senior Manager

Job Description:

The Food Projects Senior Manager is responsible for providing direct support to strategic and cross functional initiatives that add value to the organization. The Senior Manager will lead the project management lifecycle and proactively carry out project support functions for the Food Programs and Offers department. The Senior Manager will ensure that these initiatives and projects are aligned with RaceTrac’s strategic priorities and that these initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables. 

Responsibilities:

Oversees the project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and food implementation projects.Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.Defines and documents project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners.Identifies and communicates project vision, goals, and objectives and how they support or impede organizational strategic objectives of the Merchandising department.Designs and implements processes to monitor and control resources, budget, risks and value to business objectives.Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the project life cycle.Ensures all the required deliverables are produced and reviewed, including the design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the solution.Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs.Manages scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports.Provides process improvement recommendations based on best practices and food industry standards.Leads cross functional meetings to consolidate knowledge from multiple subject matter experts.Continually prioritizes project tasks to focus on the most impactful changes.Monitors and communicates team progress to the necessary stakeholders.Simultaneously supports the entire project management cycle of multiple food implementation projects.Focuses on the importance of reporting, meeting stated deadline commitments, and communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field preferred5+ years’ project management experience driving complex technical project implementations; experience in food, hospitality, or packaging a plus.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred; proficiency in Excel, Project, and Visio a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts
